About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, Randazzo's Clam Bar is nothing short of a seafood sanctuary that has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 1963. This iconic seafood restaurant serves up an authentic taste of the ocean with classic New England flair, offering a menu brimming with beloved coastal treasures that have been perfected over generations.

From the moment you step inside, the no-frills, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you like an old friend. The bustling clam bar buzzes with anticipation as patrons indulge in the restaurant’s legendary dishes. At Randazzo's, the seafood isn't just food — it’s an experience that conjures up the salty breeze of the bay and the comfort of home-cooked meals.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the rich, creamy New England Clam Chowder, warming and brimming with tender clams and savory broth that instantly transports you to coastal New England. Equally seductive is the Lobster Bisque, smooth and decadent with just the right hint of lobster’s sweet ocean essence. For those craving raw delights, the fresh Oysters and Little Neck Clams come chilled and briny, embodying the freshness of the sea with every shuck.

Fans of texture and zest rave about the Fried Calamari Bundle, perfectly golden and tender, accompanied by Randazzo’s famed hot or medium sauce—a tangy, spicy concoction that packs more wisdom and warmth than you might expect. Reviewers often hail this sauce as the soul of the restaurant, a secret weapon that elevates even the simplest fried shrimp or calamari into a flavor celebration.

For heartier appetites, the Stuffed Filet steals the show: a succulent fish filet filled with a heavenly mixture of breadcrumbs, baby shrimp, lobster, and crabmeat, served alongside your choice of crispy fried zucchini, french fries, or a baked potato. The Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce and Shrimp Fra Diavolo on a Bed of Pasta offer satisfying pasta options that marry Italian tradition with fresh, oceanic ingredients.

Randazzo’s is more than just a menu; it’s a legacy. Longtime guests describe it as a place of fond memories and familial feasts, where generations gather to indulge in 'seafood glory'. Whether you're sitting at the lively clam bar or enjoying a leisurely meal in the cozy dining area, the friendly staff ensures a warm, attentive service that keeps patrons coming back time and again.

The authenticity of Randazzo’s extends beyond its food to its very essence—a stalwart symbol of the Brooklyn waterfront dining scene. It’s where the flavors of the sea, the spice of the famed sauces, and the nostalgia of family traditions come together in perfect harmony. So whether you’re craving the boldness of Alaskan King Crab Legs, the crisp charm of Zucchini Fries, or a hearty plate of Chicken Parmigiana with Pasta, Randazzo’s Clam Bar serves it with heart, history, and unmistakable flair.

In short, if you’re searching for a genuine seafood experience that goes beyond your ordinary meal, Randazzo’s Clam Bar is the ultimate destination—a true Brooklyn classic where every bite tells a story.

Some spots just get it right — Randazzo’s Clam Bar in Sheepshead Bay has been serving up seafood glory since 1963, and honestly, I think the sauce has more wisdom than half the guys I know. I grew up coming here as a kid, back when I thought “half and half” meant sharing fries with my brother. Now I know it means fried calamari and shrimp swimming in that legendary hot Randazzo sauce — with a biscuit that’s basically a trophy for finishing the plate. Topped it off with a bowl of lobster bisque so creamy it could’ve paid rent in Brooklyn and still had change left over. Some things shouldn’t change — like this place. Fresh, spotless, proud, and serving flavor since before most of us were even a thought. If you haven’t been here yet… seriously, what are you waiting for? #randazzosclambar #brooklynfoodie #sheepsheadbay #seafoodlover #oldschoolflavor #nyceats #foodieinthebigapple2025 #masculineeats #calamari #lobsterbisque #classicsneverdie

Came here for lunch in the beginning of Sept so it wasn't really busy. This is sort of a no frill, family restaurant. It's a staple of sheepshead bay. Ordered a garlic lobster, clam chowder, seafood pasta, and a fish fillet. Everything was phenomenal as always. The lobster was slightly overcooked - came out a bit chewy.

First time here! Food was great! We were served at the bar! Friendly staff! Good service! We had the raw littleneck and oysters and fried calamari! The medium sauce that goes with the calamari is absolutely delicious!

Randazzo’s has been a beloved staple in my family for generations — we’ve been feasting here since before I was even born. And when I say “feasting,” I mean it. This isn’t just a meal, it’s a full-on seafood celebration. For my brother’s birthday, we came ready to indulge, and as always, Randazzo’s delivered. Fresh-as-ever raw clams and oysters set the tone, followed by classics like clams in white sauce and buttery shrimp scampi — each bite reminding us why this place is an icon. The atmosphere? A perfectly tamed chaos. The moment one table clears, two more fill. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and on top of everything. And the cherry on top — after your meal, you can stroll right over to the pier across the street to soak in the salty breeze. This Brooklyn gem hasn’t lost an ounce of its charm. Run, don’t walk, to Randazzo’s. For more foodie gems like this, follow @blaze_eatsnyc!

This old school seafood place hit the spot right after a beach outing. We got New England clam chowder, mussels with spicy sauce, raw bar clams and oysters, zucchini fries and fired calamari. The mussels and clam were the highlights. Got a jar of spicy sauce to go.

I went here because my coworker recommended it while working in Brooklyn. It was a cold day, and the hot Clam chowder really hit the spot. It was great chowder. Also, the fried Calamari (galamah if you know what's what) was ridiculously tasty. The sauce they serve is excellent and has a nice spice to it. I would go back here and try other stuff if I'm in the area.
